Georgia Resiliency Conference 2025: Call for Posters
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Coastal Resources Division will host a Resiliency Conference on Jekyll Island, Georgia October 20-21, 2025. The conference will include concurrent sessions, a poster session, two keynote luncheons, continuing education credits, and networking opportunities. This conference provides an excellent opportunity for practitioners and researchers working on resiliency-related projects in Georgia to present results of recent studies, discuss works-in-progress, and share ideas. The theme is “Minimizing Georgia’s Risk, Maximizing Georgia’s Future”. Topics will include Agriculture and Forestry, Business and Industry, Communications, Community Engagement, Drawdown Georgia, Education, Emergency Preparedness, Federal Efforts in GA, GIS & Tools Café, Habitat and Impacted Species, Health, Invasive Species, Law and Policy, Local Government, Marine Fisheries, Media, Nature-Based Solutions, Private Partnerships, Research, State Efforts, Utilities, and Weather and Climate. Oral and poster presenter biographies will be provided to registered conference participants. Proceedings will not be published. Continuing education credit availability will be formally announced at least one month prior to the conference.
Guidelines for posters
Posters should be no larger than 100 cm (40 in) tall by 150 cm (60 in) wide. We will provide poster stations with a foam-core display board, easel, push pins, and tape, if needed. Presenters will be notified of their poster stations at the start of the conference. We ask that posters be in place by 3:00pm on the first day and stay up until noon on the second day. Poster authors are required to be present at the poster session the evening of October 20th to answer questions.
Instructions for submitting posters The deadline for submitting poster information is August 31, 2025. Submitted information must conform to the style provided in the example below. Submitters will be informed if their abstracts have been accepted by September 15, 2025. Biographies must be submitted in MS Word format to Meghan Angelina at meghan.angelina@dnr.ga.gov. Please include Resiliency Conference 2025 in the subject line.
