Archiving of Baseline Water Quality Data for Coastal Georgia

Project Overview:
- To create a digital archive of historic water quality data sets from coastal Georgia with particular attention placed on data in the NOAA Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve.
- To establish a protocol appropriate for archiving the data in cooperation with NOAA National Oceanographic Data Center.
- To create CD-roms and an on-line database containing data associated with coastal Georgia.
- To create a catalog of other data that would be archived as time and funding permit. The catalog would include locations of the data, i.e., websites, libraries, individuals, etc.
Accomplishments:
A web
site was established that makes historical data collected along the coast of
Georgia available to all interested persons.
