PIs: Wei-Jun Cai (Dept of Marine Sciences) and Lawrence R. Pomeroy (Inst of Ecology) Univ of Georgia, Athens, GA, USA

Support: Georgia Sea Grant College Program (Project Number R/WQ-5).

Timeframe: 3/1/98 - 2/28/99 (complete)

Project Overview:
The objectives of this project were:
• To conduct a literature review and analysis of the state of knowledge of respiratory processes and the net productivity of intertidal salt marshes in the South Atlantic Bight
• To model and evaluate hypotheses related to salt marsh respiration
• To recommend future research on this subject area.
