The Coastal Georgia Colloquium

The GCRC has organized the Coastal Georgia Colloquia as a forum for scientists and natural resource managers to share information and to highlight research efforts currently underway on the Georgia Coast.  The Colloquia provide an opportunity to focus on the scientific work (biology, chemistry, geology, and physics) being carried out in coastal Georgia as well as a mechanism for managers to describe the types of information that are necessary for their programs.

At Colloquium '02, particular emphasis was given to those projects funded through the Coastal Incentive Grant Program of Georgia DNR or through Georgia Sea Grant. In 2006, our discussion focused on management needs for research. During our most recent event, Colloquium '09, we welcomed a number of new affiliated members and continued our traditional "mini-talks". We also expanded the meeting scope to include longer theme-related presentations by Georgia researchers and invited guests from elsewhere in the region.
